Downloading Adobe Connect Mobile 2.0

A big thank you to everyone that joined us for another great Adobe Connect user group meeting!

During the event, there were some questions around Adobe Connect Mobile 2.0 and how to get the latest release of our mobile app.  I wanted to clarify the application "update" process.  If you downloaded Adobe Connect Mobile 1.7.5 you should have received an update notice for 2.0.  However, if you are on one of the very first releases of this application and you did not receive an update notice you will need to navigate out to the application store and re-download.  This is due to a very minor change we made to the name of the mobile app.

Adobe Connect for IT Health Care

We wanted to flag this nice write up of the use of Connect for healthcare in Healthcare IT Connect, a provider of conferences, online education, hosted webinars and peer to peer networking in the Healthcare IT Industry.

The writer apparently recently attended a Connect webinar hosted by an Emily from Adobe. The article includes various screenshots, lists various features, and mentions compatibility with iOS, Android, and Playbook.

The writer ends with a nice quote by saying, “Basically, Adobe Connect is Skype on corporate steroids, allowing full programs (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint) to be incorporated into its framework.  Depending on how much of your office does business globally or from remote locations, Adobe Connect would be a fine addition to the repertoire of any medical professional.”

Adobe Connect MOBILE 2.0

Very happy to say that Adobe Connect Mobile 2.0 apps have gone live on both iTunes and Google Play app stores, and as of 9am this morning, we’ve officially announced the release of Adobe Connect Mobile 2.0.

As part of the release, please note the following updates and assets:

• Updated mobile page on the Adobe Connect website (as well as mobile messaging included throughout solution briefs and web content)

Adobe Connect 9 and Mobile 2.0 Announcement

In case anyone missed the public announcement of our next release, Adobe Connect 9 and Mobile 2.0, I wanted to give everyone a quick update.

The software is scheduled to be available late summer (Q3).  If you are on Adobe hosted, you can check your proposed upgrade date at the following location -

http://www.adobe.com/support/connect/downloads-updates.html.  Just enter your Adobe Connect URL.
