Q&A Postings

Content

In older versions of Connect, questions were posted to everyone when they were approved.  In 8.0, it looks like the questions are posted in the order of their time stamp.  Is this just the way it happens in this release?  This prevents you from grouping questions that may correspond to similar questions.

Hi Sandy,

I am looking into this to get more details. Thanks for the question.

Yes, C8 changes the Q&A pod and you cannot group questions. Suggest you see all options for the pod by selecting the help screen within the pod options menu. There are screen shots there that show various options.

We are looking to use AC to deliver training in a distance learning format. How might we maintain a list of participants as a form of registration? What options are their for testing? If we were to use pods to build quesions will it report individual responses to questions?

Dana, there is something called the Events Module that you can use to capture registration information from your students, regardless of whether or not they are in your organization.

"The Adobe Connect Events module manages user registration, qualification, notification, automatic e-mail reminders, and tracking for large online seminars and presentations. You can easily customize online registration forms, events listings, and information pages to reflect corporate branding. Adobe Connect Events generates detailed reports on attendee demographics, registrations, attendance, and answers to both registration survey responses and in-session polls."

In regards to your other question, the training module is going to be the part of Connect that allows you to track individuals responses to test and quizzes. Here is a quick blurb on the training module.

"Adobe Connect Training provides everything training professionals need to manage, deploy, and track highly engaging online training that's easy for participants to access via a web browser. Comprehensive curriculum management capabilities enable integration of both live and self-paced courses, including courses created with other authoring tools. Track user completion and course results using convenient dashboard reports, or view class data at a more detailed level, down to individual learners or questions."

Let me know if this answers your question. Feel free to email me offline if you have more specific questions regarding your organization.
